STORY of Natkhat
A tale of a doting mother who uses an age-old yet unique way to steer her son Sonu in the right direction.
Review of Natkhat
Natkhat' revolves around the
story of Sonu (Sanika Patel), a 7-year-old boy World Health Organization comes home in
the future nonchalantly brags to his father and gramps regarding abducent
his feminine acquaintance at college and ‘teaching the woman a lesson.' On
one hand, the family patriarch smirks and says, "Ladka hain, Ho Jata hai," implying that Sonu is just influenced by tv, which he
ought to limit his viewing to the Sanskrit literature and Mahabharatam
from currently on. Sonu's mother, on the opposite hand, {is
concerned|cares|thinks regarding|worries|is bothered} about the likelihood
of her son heritable planted traits of antifeminism. She takes matters
into her hands by
teaching Sonu
regarding the values of equality through the old art of hour
stories.
Notions like "boys are going to be boys," "boys do not cry" are therefore deeply deep-seated in our socio-cultural cloth that
always young minds imbibe these unwittingly. Shaan Vyas bright illustrates
a similar during this social drama whereas carrying the director's hat for
the primary time. The table scene, within which all of the boys within the
house are intake and ladies are serving them chapatis, is splendidly shot
parenthetically the importance of the male-female power dynamics.
The playscript has been meticulously written by Annukampa Harsh and Shaan
Vyas. With the assistance of an hour story—of Raja Hindu deity Kumar and
his girl Urmi—the protagonist talks about a couple of societies while not
ladies and also the world that is additional or less dying because of its
own mental illness.
The story
and background score are artfully combined to expound the qualities and
analogies between ladies and birds, kings and young brats. Initially, the
narrative takes a protracted time to ascertain Sonu’s temperament traits,
particularly the negative influences in his life. However, the characters
have the depth and convey the desired intensity with their acts.
Dressed in easy sarees,
Vidya Balan (who has conjointly co-produced this film with Ronnie Screwvala), plays
her role of a home-maker and an I mother with conviction. Her character
hits onerous on ototoxic masculinity, and she’s relaxed sharing screen
house with a deb kid creative person, Sanika Patel. The mother-son bond
can heat your heart and even move you to tears in several scenes. Despite
being behind a veil, Vidya impeccably shows her discomfort once her son
nonchalantly suggests to his father the way to tackle a problematic woman:
"Toh ussey the lo sodium, papa!" That’s an associate epic moment once she
realizes that she
should go
on top of and on the far side to dismantle the structure in her
family.
All said, ‘Natkhat' effectively combats paternal culture in a very short 33-minute
timeframe. It's sort of a court to all or any ladies World Health
Organization notice themselves latched in similar things and making an
attempt to break down the thick walls of the structure. This one
undoubtedly deserves a watch.
